Night creams are an essential part of any skincare regimen, whether it be to maintain beautiful and youthful skin or restore it due to the ravages of time and age. With this in mind, many would ask why night creams are important. After all, it’s just another day cream with a different name right? WRONG! I cannot stress enough the fact that you need a good night cream in order to get the proper skincare results you are looking for!

Yes, it’s true. A night cream is different from a day cream, and without it, you cut your results in half if not more. This is partly because of the way the body works. Frankly speaking, at night, your pores open up. This doesn’t sound appealing, especially for those with large pores already. But it’s actually a good thing. The skin is able to properly repair itself and also better absorb things around it if you are getting that restful beauty sleep you need. If you use a night cream therefore, they tend to be higher in moisturizers as well as using active ingredients, and you can therefore get the right results.

In addition, while a night cream during the day would actually clog the pores, your skin is prepared to deal with it at night, and therefore it can give the greater results you want without causing further damage such as acne or otherwise. So when you ask why night creams are important, here’s your answer. They help your skin to repair itself, which is well over half the battle.

I’ll admit it. While makeup plays a huge part in celebrity beauty tricks and we all know it, I still envy some of their looks. For example, Eva Longoria seems to have beautiful skin. Now I’ve seen the real skin of celebs like Tyra Banks and Oprah who have revealed it, and it’s all makeup. But at the same point in time, there has to be some basis to work off of. That being said, I have never seen Eva Longoria’s face without makeup, and I’m relatively sure she’s not as plain as say Jessica Simpson.

But this being said, celebrities do this as their job, they ideally speaking know what they are doing. So I check things out to know. For example, J Lo says that she drinks more water and sleeps more. These are actually valid points. More sleep helps your skin to rejuvenate itself and water keeps skin moisturized and the body cleansed out to some greater degree.

You also get some celebs claiming that they use diamond powders. Now unfortunately, this is not legit. Or maybe it’s fortunately, because who could really afford to pay that much for a cream anyway with diamonds. But this being said, while gold has proven facilities and gold is actually sold in affordable creams and likewise, diamonds have no proven effect.

And finally, there’s some who spread thick things like olive oil all over their skin. This does restore moisture, and in the case of olive oil, it also has antioxidants. Now I suspect that they have more extreme methods, in fact I’m relatively sure they do. But the tips they make public are not always so bad.

Ever since the emergence of the metro man, it seems like there have been more creams, gels, and other facial and skincare products, even makeup and other cosmetics are becoming more popular among men and advertising in general, because although we don’t necessarily like the idea of a man spending more time in the bathroom than we do, but at the same point in time, we do like a guy looking good. So therefore, men are more likely to cater to that.

They will dress better, use make up if they have to, and frankly celebrities have used cosmetics for years. Even men have used it not only for parts, but in general terms. So why not follow that trend. That being said, there are male specific lines even. You should remember not to pay more or for that matter trust them any more than you would others, because to be honest, skin types do not differ between sexes.

They differ between individuals. But of course, people aren’t inclined to think about it that way. They listen to marketing ploys. So of course, while there are some men’s lines that actually do have some of the right ingredients, don’t base your decisions on that, because of course it won’t hold out under the harsh light of day.

You can use more intensive ingredients with a night cream, because your skin can handle it and even benefit from it at night whereas the same ingredients might cause irritation and otherwise in a day cream. It is a fine balance. But you definitely need both. I’m just saying I value the night cream more. Moreover, if you use a serum both day and night with both day and night creams, you will actually multiply your results that you would see with either one of those creams. So a serum is also quite essential all things considered. If you combine it with your night cream however, it can ensure even deeper seated results and greater benefits over a shorter period of time.

I now can’t remember what it’s called. But they use one particular older celebrity female that still has apparently beautiful skin for advertising, and they claim to be the secret of European spas, using negative and positively charged ions to essentially get rid of wrinkles, regrow hair, reduce age spots, get rid of cellulite, everything up and down the boards. Frankly, there is no proven way to get rid of that thin layer of fat known as cellulite that afflicts people whether fat or skinny in many cases.

But when I literally had a friend’s wife push her butt in my face to show me how she no longer had cellulite, I was a little bit turned off to say the least, especially being that she does actually still have bad cellulite. The whole kit costs about $200 to start, and then they charge you for this gel about $50-$80 a month from what I understand. Now my friend’s wife is always pedaling something, there is no exception to this rule.

Every time I see her, it is literally something new, and this is sad being that I see them quite regularly. But this is by far one of the biggest rip offs I’ve seen. I checked up with some people I know who have actually used it for a longer period of time, and every one of them reported to me at least that despite the advertisements, it doesn’t work. They saw results or thought they did at first, but it never actually panned out. So if you come across this particular product, I wouldn’t recommend wasting money on the gels, let alone the system itself.

If you don’t want to waste your money anymore, the first step to that successful path is to avoid scams. The first thing to do when avoiding scams is to avoid any product or company who you see an advertisement for in your email’s spam box. If they are sending you unsolicited emails, this is not only illegal, it is a sure sign of a scam, being that they obviously have no regard for practical practices and they have no other way to give you information.

Second, look out for those claiming to be endorsed by a celebrity. Just because they are holding a bottle that they may have gotten in a gift basket or because they happen to have a stock photo of them does not mean that they use or endorse that product. It doesn’t mean anything actually, and even if they have a commercial using them and their words, they paid for it. So they definitely don’t use it.

Third, watch out for the “free trial offers.” They claim to be miracle creams that they are not, and they rely on those free trial offers to get you into an auto ship program after about 30 days or so. Sometimes, they only give you 14 or 15 days from ship date. But either way, they have to do this, because otherwise, you would never actually reorder their product.

Our final word is that there are various methods. If they offer you a trial sometimes they even say they are conducting studies in your area. Either way, you should watch out for these types of products.

I generally use sandalwood in my incense personally. But apparently, you can also use it for your skincare. They say that it will relax you and soothe you, which I already knew being that you use it for incense. But aside from that, it is apparently found in various oils and candles that can be used therapeutically. I could see this. It apparently encourages the stomach muscle to produce gastric juices, ease nausea, and ease colic and gastritis. I know this might be good for some, but what about those with too many gastric gases that cause things such as heartburn?

Anyway, in terms of your skin and the oils that it can be found in, sandalwood actually improves dry and cracked skin. It draws natural oils to the surface and makes itself a valuable ingredient in multiple types. It can also be used as an antiseptic, meaning that it could beneficial in soaps, acne treatments, beauty creams, and otherwise. In short, sandalwood has all its benefits and many benefits of a general skincare product. The thing that surprises me is that it kills bacteria with its particular aroma. Most antiseptics, antibacterials, etc that work actually stink. But hey, I guess the world is making turns in the right direction.
